History
Codecult was was founded as “Codecult software research & development GmbH”, Germany, in 1999 by Stefan Herget, its current MD, and Stefan Heinemann. Codecult focused on helping development teams in the interactive entertainment industry improve productivity and increase profitability by providing one of the world`s most powerful game engines. In late 1999 codecult joined the Phenomedia-Group, Germany. Over the next three years, Codecult concentrated on developing the Codecreatures 3D-game-development-System. During that period, Codecult also received non-entertainment industry recognition by creating a advanced 3D realtime simulation of the TRANSRAPID for SIEMENS AG. In 2002, Codecult split from the Phenomedia-Group and joined H2Labs Creative Research GmbH, Germany, to make the next step.
